The Textile Artist

This outfit was created to celebrate the life of a friend who was passionate about travel, decorative textiles and collecting beautiful things. She loved central Asia where floral motifs are much loved and so this flowery coat in intense, rich colours seemed absolutely appropriate.

skill: worked in intarsia, knitting and sewing experience required.

needle size required: 3.00mm, 3.25mm and 4.00mm

This kit comes packed in a knitted doll cylinder and includes everything you’ll need to create Mia or Abbey dressed as the textile artist, includes:

• handmade dolls and accessories, ak's classic knitted doll  book with knitting instructions, 3 clothes patterns and a set of sewn clothes patterns
• the Textile Artist knitting pattern,
• a total of 9 x 50gms of ak traditions 100% merino dk knitting wool
• fabric for doll lining
• 100% wool felt for wrap skirt and boots
• embroidery threads
