Margaret & Friends, 43cm handmade felt dolls

Create Margaret, a traditional handmade felt doll with a sleek auburn bob and a passion for drawing. Named after Margaret Preston, one of Australia’s most iconic painters from the 1920’s and 1930’s Margaret is dressed in an oversized woollen hand-knit, patchwork corduroy skirt and felt boots accessorised with a stylish felt art folio holding paper, pencils and her colouring book.

This project also includes patterns to knit a pull-on cap, striped garter stitch scarf, striped back-pack and ribbed leg warmers.  

size: Margaret is 43cm tall and will fit patterns designed for ak traditions hand knitted dolls.

skill: Sewn by hand.  Knitting and sewing experience required with some machine swing preferred. 

materials: 2mm wool felt and cotton fabric for the doll herself, ak traditions pure merino DK wool and cotton cord for the outfit.

note: this pattern includes instructions to make pull-on felt boots. The ak traditions lace-up felt boots shown are included in the full kit or can be purchased separately.
