ak’s classic knitted dolls are designed to be loved, played with and dressed. Their sturdy, clever construction means that legs stay attached, bodies remain firm and heads don’t wobble – and we know that pattern works because literally thousands of dolls have been made using our pattern book. However its their clothes and accessories that always draw the most admiring glances.
Size: 43cm
Skill: the doll itself is handknitted flat and is suitable for even basic knitters. Putting her together does require time, care and sewing experience. Crochet experience would also be useful for constructing the doll.
Needle size required: 3.00mm, 3.25mm and 4.00mm
How the concept and colourways work:
The doll has knitted striped legs that are worked in a main colour with three different coloured repeat stripes. The legs dictate the colourway and all the clothes are knitted to match. All knitted patterns are interchangeable and there are designs to suit both new and experienced knitters.
This kit comes packed in an ak knitted doll cylinder and includes everything you’ll need to create your own dressed doll, including:
